So, I finally decided to start myself a graphics thread. xD I actually only recently begun improving more dramatically--even though I've probably had GIMP for a little over a year now. :/ I've never used a tutorial--which I should probably consider sometime, but... whatever. I'm proud to say that I still use PowerPoint to 'hepl' me--well, it's my clipboard most of the time. Well, anyways, I thought since it seems everytime I make something new, I have the urge to make it my signature because I had no other way to flaunt them, that I'd make a gallery for myself over here. ;p Well... nerm.

NOTE THAT AS OF NOW I AM NOT TAKING REQUESTS

Requests... I tried that before. I had people PM me if they wanted them... I always ended up getting a request for a character from a franchise I never heard of, or an extremely impossible thing. I always feel bad declining, so... NO REQUESTS. I may take them later, but... not now... probably not anytime soon, either. If you would like to take a request, check out this magical thread.

I'll start with a few old-ish stuff, but I'm not sharing too many of these because they're crap, and I'm trying to focus more on the newer stuff and soon-to-come stuffs. :)



A fairly old ZD signature of mine. Back when I "Blue Toon Link" was my theme. xD


Another thing with Blue Toon Link. I was more experimenting recoloring his tunic, but that was my Facebook profile picture at one point.


I believe this was my signature when I first offered requests, but... eh.

This one actually bothers me, but I followed LozzyKate's advice when I made it. I stretched out the artwork of Iris too much on the left, and it is the wrong Iris in the background.


This one is okay. I only like that it is unique. I messed up a lot with it, though.


Blue Toon Link again. This was actually made a long time after I changed my theme, but I didn't really have any ideas at the time, but felt like GIMPing...


An A Link to the Past banner. This was re-edited and scaled to fit the signature guidelines over at Zelda Universe, but... whatever.

Getting more into newer-ish ones, but... working up to where I currently am by showing a few old ones has taken up this post, so I'll probably end up double-posting... or I can wait until someone replies. xD


Follow Me banner. I used it as a signature for a while, but its dimensions really bothered me.


The Cow jumped over the moon! I did make another graphic using a nursery rhyme as a theme, but it was really bad--also, it was much older, which would explain its terrible-ness....

Uh, I think that is ten pictures--which is the limit per post, so... my next post will have the newer stuff. So, nerm. I feel bad for showing the bad stuff first. Now I probably scared everyone away... they be afraid to see my "improvements" lawl

Well, let's see... newer stuff... (I'm going to limit the descriptions this time.)








I did not use GIMP at all when I made this. Rendered in MS Paint, set transparent color in PowerPoint, manipulated in MS Picture Manager, and assembled in PowerPoint.


This is more of an inside joke, but there is this glitch in ALttP that, using the magic mirror, turns the green knights purple. The HKs here have purple usernames, so it's just being silly. :p

That Blue Toon Link sig with the watery/ripple is still my favourite. That one with Zelda looks awesome as well.

Well, nerm... I haven't opened GIMP too much lately because it takes it freaking forever to load all of my fonts and it really tugs on my CPU...

So, since I changed my avatar and signature (thanks to Neon (aka Destiny) for the Sexymon siggy~ My avatar is a manipulation of this scrawling of Ganon's name I did atop of my geometry warm-up from some day in October last year. xDD As my avatar, it is commemorating my four-year anniversary of liking him, which is on the 17th... well, anyways... *rambles too much* Since I changed my avatar and signature, I'll add my old ones to the gallery:

And this isn't too much "graphic-y", but I'll put this in here today. Atsuma was asking me why I didn't write fan fictions today, and well... I've tried before... I've just always lost interest in my own... :/ Well, thinking back to all of my interesting ideas, I'm planning on actually getting one started--and finished... but it will be a while before I start the actual story, because I want to set up the plot basics this time. Eh, diagramming... feels like English class... xD Well, I don't know if this will be the official name for it, but in the promotional art--which is really crappy, by the way, I called it "Upholding Triumph", so... nerm. Takes places after the Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. No further background will be included quite yet--though I do have a slight idea, I am still brainstorming... ;j



haha, I used PowerPoint, MS Picture Manager, GIMP, and the wonderfulness that is... pencil. =) *does not have a notebook* I'm really pleased with how the "Legend of Zelda" logo turned out, considering it was completely self-generated... I didn't shade Link or Tetra--nor did I clean up the rough lines, but I don't really mind too much... the official artwork for the first Rune Factory game was very unfinished as well...

Well, it's been a little while since I updated this--and not too many graphics made either... :/

I made this a while back, but I really hate how I killed the Sheikah symbol when I scaled it... I should have redone it while I had GIMP open, like, five minutes ago, but... whatever:


I'm not too pleased with this banner. In fact, I hate it. But since I didn't really make too many graphics, I feel I should share it... :/ Like, way too much red and pink... I wanted to use a different color--perhaps a compliment, but it just didn't look quite right.


And with the new artwork of Link featured on the boxart of SS, I was tempted to make something with it. I actually did a pretty nice job rendering the art myself, so I'm happy. =)

^ the font on that is not the logo font, but in my searching so far, it has to be the closest match I've seen. If you want to know what it's called, it is 'House of Fun'.

My new planner for this year has a spot to put a 4" by 6" photo, so I may make something to put there. ;p Maybe a manipulation of my Pipi (if you don't know, she was my precious albino gerbil).

Good job. Although you dislike the Raven signature, I like it. She's my favorite character from RF 3 so far. Also, if you don't mind, do you still have that rendered picture of SS Link from the boxart open? Or did you save it? If you did either, would it be a bother to send it to me?

I have it in a powerpoint, but has a dropshadow-ish border on it--actually, it was kind of left a bit from the gold boxart, but it's very subtle... I could probably save it from the powerpoint, but... yeah. You may or may not be able to just feather the outline off of it, but it's not too noticeable on a background.

So, here... Powerpoint kind of ruined the resolution because I saved it as an image from there, but... does this work for you, Erbium?
