Favorite SNES Game?

I searched to see if there was a thread similar to this, I didn't find one, but if this has still been around, feel free to close.

Anyway, we remember those days when 2D gaming was all the rage, one of the greatest consoles from that age was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, SNES for short. There were very great games that came from the SNES, such as the Mega Man X series, A Link to the Past, Kirby Superstar, Earthworm Jim, F-Zero, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, Super Metroid, Chrono Tiger, etc etc etc..

So I ask, out of all of those great games you played that were from the SNES, which did you like the best? If you absolutely love more than one, you can give a list if you want.

Mine would have to be Mega Man X, a really close one would be Mario World, but I absolutely LOVED this game, from the music, to the power-ups, bosses, gameplay etc. I was really young back then but still.

So what were your favorites? As stated before, you can give more than one.

I don't have a game that stands above the rest but I do have a couple of "nostalgic" favourites.

Donkey Kong 1
Kirby Super Star
Street Fighter II
Super Mario World
Super Mario World II: Yoshi's Island
The Legend of Zelda: ALttP
Turtles in Time

The SNES has some of the most amazing games ever. I think they saved the best for last when they rolled out Super Metroid. that game blew my mind.

Yoshi's Island The game is a Classic and it made me the Gamer I am today. 15 years is a long time...

I really love games like Super Metroid, Super Mario Land, Megaman X, and Yoshi's Island, but my all-time favorite has to be Soul Blazer. I just love the style of that game. Although there is not much replay value, I still love it.

Although I've never played a SNES game...lol... Kirby Super Star, Super Mario World, and The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past look fun to play!

My top 3 are the following.

No. 3- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

A tough game from the past that is not only just THAT fun, as well as having some nice graphics and music, but also a great story. Gameplay was pretty good too, but I feel that the Dark World/Light World thing could've been touched on a little better.

No. 2- Super Mario World

Super fun game with nice graphics, amazing music, and good difficulty. That is all.

No. 1- EarthBound

Absolutely hilarious game with an amazing plot, amazing gameplay (very deep despite it's simple-at-first looks), undescribably amazing music (seriously, you NEED to listen to it, NOW), decent difficulty (a little too easy at times), and overall just SUPER fun. Play iiiiiit. Play iiiiiiiit nowwwww. Oh, and the graphics aren't exactly good for an SNES game, but they grow on you after a while (I daresay I like the graphics in that game better than the graphics in SMRPG) and the game MORE than makes up for it in the other departments.

A Link to the Past.

As well as it being my favorite Zelda game, it's also my favorite SNES game. Out of all the SNES games I have I believe that I've played ALttP the most and it's the one that I'd more than likely choose to play if given the choice. Other SNES games that come in a close second to this awesome game are: Final Fight 3, Super Mario World, Mega Man X, Sim City, Super Metroid, and a few others that I can't recall right now. But yes, ALttP is my favorite SNES game overall.

My favourite SNES game is easily Super Metroid, but I really enjoy A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Island as well.

It's Zelda, so practically, any Zelda game of any console is automatically my favorite game for the console (or top 2, in some cases).

Wow, nobody has put one of the 3 final fantasy titles for the snes. So I'll have to start and say Final Fantasy II (or jap IV). It was just so fun and hard and the story was amazing too

I love Donkey Kong Country. An amazing game with smooth controls and beautiful music. Also, I love Super Mario World. It might just be my favorite 2D Mario game.

1- A Link to the Past: Yeah... Being part of this forum makes me LOVE Zelda on any console
2- Super Metroid: This game... I Mean.. this Master Piece is one of the most epic games in history, I totally LOVE IT
3- Star Fox: Yep... This game rocks too, I just love it and I like all of the series... I Cleared Star Fox Assault today and is awesome
4- Super Mario World: Can you guys believe that when I was a kid this game were on Arcade? I played it one day and... I fell in love with it
5-Top Gear (All of them) : Best racing game EVER I loved Top Gear 3000 for it's futuristic look
6- Final Fight: Awesome Beat Em' Up
7- Donkey Kong Country (All of them): It's graphics just make love this little guy
8- Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3: I'm mastering it yet... but it is simply awesome
9- Super Adventure Island: I blame Hudson for throwing away Master Higgins to shadows ¬¬ His games made me the happiest kid on earth and Hyrule
10- Wild Guns: Well... I have no words for this one... But it is a great game
