I was playing through the game and typing up my walkthrough for Ghost Ship and I didn't quite understand this puzzle. The guide doesn't really explain it and assumes it is common sense and I was hoping somebody here could explain this to me, so it can further help viewers.
The stone tablet on floor B3 states that you should pull things in the following order, 2, 4, 5, 1, 3.
Yet the actual correct order is 4, 1, 5, 2, 3.
Am I just missing something completely obvious or does this not make sense. I'm sure there is more to it than that. Having a combination of 5 levers doesn't really make it easy to guess at all either. Can somebody explain why the order is different than the one on the statue and if there is something else that gives you the hint. Thanks!

Hm... Well, when I first went through there, the combination was, I believe, as it said. The combination given could mean a couple of things. It could mean you pull the second, then the fourth, then the fifth, and so on; or it could mean you pull the first lever second, the second lever fourth, and so on. Does that make any sense? I don't know if that'll help at all.

Possibly because you know how the Sister's lie to you, it possibly is another trick? The whole ship seems to be filled with lies.

Ah, (I just realized the other thread about the Diabolical Cubus Sisters) had this puzzle and Tom explained it somewhat.
We have switches...
1 2 3 4 5
and the stone statue gave the order of...
2 4 5 1 3
What really helps would be aligning the numbers right on top of eachother
1 2 3 4 5
2 4 5 1 3
Then correspond the bottomn number with the top...
Thus the 4 is above the 1 so is first. Then the 1 is above the 2 so it is second, and so on...
Thus the end result was...
4 1 5 2 3
Quite confusing if you ask me, given that the game is geared towards kids and I couldn't even get it. I'm sure if I gave it serious thought I'd probably get it eventually, but ya, still difficult. I'm sure gamers were searching through strategy guides all over the internet when they got stuck on this one.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to explain, though I'm not good at explaining things. ^^ I must've been in a certain mindset when I was doing that puzzle, because I figured it out relatively soon after, although it did stump me a bit.
