I heard there were some problems because it was an emulator, but does anyone have it and know if it's good or not?

I have never heard anything bad about the game. Although honestly, I don't know many people that have it at all and have played it often. Most of my friends played the games on their original consoles. The re-released versions are more for the newer gamers I'd say, but ya, haven't heard of any problems.

I have Zelda Collector's Edition and I've beaten all four games on it. They all worked fine for me, however the NES games take awhile to get used to playing with the Gamecube Controller. The sounds in Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time sometimes glitches up, and it says that when you load the game. But I played through both and didn't notice anything wrong with the music or the sound. Sometimes it would get a bit scratchy in places but nothing terrible.

Well that's good. I stupidly sold my n64 a couple of years ago so the 4 games in one on gamecube sounded like a miracle to me.

Yeah, if you have a gamecube but not a N64 I definately recommend this. The controls actually aren't too bad (except when playing the Ocarina) because you can use Y for C left, Z for C up, X for C right, etc.

I have the Collectors Edition and I love it! Like Alder Dragon said, there is a warning about the sound screwing up in Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time but I've never noticed anything.

I've had it for awhile, and I noticed in MM it can be laggy although that was mostly in Clock Town. Other than that I haven't noticed anything. But the texture are much smoother than on the original consoles.

Aye, I have the Collector's Edition also, and I haven't really noticed any difference with any of the games. Like previously mentioned, though, the LOZ and AOL can be tough to get used to with the GCN controller.

I found myself using the D-Pad for the 2D games. Replaying Majora's Mask on the Collector's Edition, I did notice lag in Clock Town. Oddly enough, it was only when I had a relatively full memory card inserted, or was playing on an unsaved game.

Another thing I notice was on MM the map doesn't fully uncover when you find certain locations (remains clouded) anyone else have this problem?

No, I have the collector's edition, and it works quite well except for some things in MM (which during the emulation Nintendo said lost some of its sound quality). During location change in MM the sound sometimes skips and crackles, but it certainly is outweighed by the increase in enjoyance playing MM on a much better console.
So, to me, the collector's edition is brilliant.

Why wont you play old Zelda? I mean the old 2d Zeldas only started the series and all, and well are the best Zeldas imo.

While maybe I have a biast opinion because I am such a 2d gaming fan. I would think, even for todays modern gaming generation, it is easier to go back to 2d title than one of the early 3d titles. Luckily enough, Ocarina of Time, even for an early 3d title, is still very playable.
However, games like the original Resident Evil title or basically half the early N64 or PlayStation titles are completely unplayable in my opinon. Basically any game that is NOT considered one of the best of its time, is terrible for the early 3d era.

No what I meant was on the Mini-Map in the menu it remained clouded when I discovered the West bay and Zora's domain and Southern Swamp and deku palace areas.

I could be wrong, but don't those not become uncover until you buy the maps from tingle? Does it even matter if you go there first or not?

I really wanted to buy this game for mm because it was my first zelda game and i was awed by it. i got a guide book and beat it when i was small and i didn't really have the opportunity to enjoy it. Also i wanted oot cuz to me that seemed like the ultimate, feel like your actually there zelda game. I mean his home town is incredible. And i used whoever made this websites walkthrough to beat the original zelda game. So thankyou for that. And zelda 2 seems ehhhh.

Zelda 2 is an acquired taste for some. You either hate it, or you love it. I love the classic Zeldas. LoZ and AoL were a big part of my life, and I still have fun playing them - including Link's Awakening. A Link to the Past still remains my favorite of them all :)

I got this with my GameCube with out even knowing it was in the GAME bag! Its been quite useful for playing the old 2D zeldas that I otherwise wouldn't get the oppertunity to try, or at least not until Nintendo came up with the virtual console. I haven't tryed MM or OOT because I have them both on the N64 and have no need to, so I can't comment on the sound problems, but the other two games seem to be fine.

Not for me only it gets laggy in Clock Town, And when i enter a door or something the sound gets weird but its good overall.
It took me forever to get my hands on it. Couldn't find it in any stores, and nobody I had connections to would give it up.
I got it offa Gamefly.
I have experienced absolutley zero problems with any of the games.
Zero.

Are you saying that's the only way to do it? Or that you don't like the fact that you can use the C-stick or the X, Y, and Z buttons?
I really like the Collectors Edition. Four games on disk, and it came free with my GC. But as it has been said, it does tend to lag in some parts, and it has frozen on me several times. But I would recomend it to anyone who doesn't have the original consoles.

I have Collecters Edition and nothing bad ever happens other than it freezes sometimes. Though it is way more freezing than on the original systems. In conclusion, Zelda Collecter's Edition is really good! :D
