Layout 15 - Temple of Droplets

What do you guys think of the new layout? Bright (although subdued) colors are quite a jump for Zelda Dungeon, but I think it turned out pretty well.

What do you like and dislike about it? Comments are much appreciated and give us ideas for how to make the next one even better :)

Looks OK. It'll take a little getting used to. The forum was confused this morning, and couldn't figure out if I was logged in or not, but that seems to have worked itself out.

Not bad, I kinda freaked me out though when I thought my laptop was screwed up again ;) Anyways I really like it, the blues and everything look really cool! Red and orange would scare me sooo bad when I get on and all of the sudden it looks like my screen caught fire :lol:

I just wanted to say that I LOVE the main sites new layout. Using Minish Cap sprites was a very unique idea. Great job!

I don't really care for these colors on the forum, but it something I'll just have to get used to.

A meh on the layout at some parts. I love the overall color and such, but the random link picture next to the text: "Zelda Dungeon" really don't fit. Unless you can get someone to sprite the same image in Minish Cap style, it wouldn't be half as bad.

And lol @ link falling off the waterfall on the bottom right. XD!!

You can change the forum template actually. Just click 'User CP' at the top, then 'Edit Options', and at the bottom right you can edit the Board Style. The Dark World is the standard layout for the forum while the current one is the Temple of Droplets layout. Glad you like the layout though. :)

Said it so many times myself to you personally Caleb, but I do love the layout as well. I just think it's awesome that the site looks somewhat like a level. Progression of the water from the top-left waterfall, through the game menus, and then down to the huge waterfall.

Also, what a lot of people don't see in the banner, is that it is a puzzle. Get the iced key block into the fire on the left side of the banner to thaw it out. Pretty cool. :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. I just got back from work and was pleasently surprised to have more than two posts. It's quite different than a lot of the past layouts this site has had, but it's been growing on me :xd:

Yeah, I was trying to toss in some Official Art from the game, but only for the banner. Most sites make their banner revolve completely around the art, such as our last layout. If it were more prodominent in the banner, I don't think it would look as bad.

And yes, like Mases said, check out the puzzle in the banner, it's cool :P

It looks great, actually, in my opinion. I had some log-in problems at first, but now that that's fixed, it's great.
