View Full Version : Spirit Tracks Enemy Artwork

Hey guys. I saw this idea over at an affiliate website, ZeldaInformer, and wanted to toss it up here as well.
At ZeldaInformer, for some of their Spirit Tracks pages, instead of using screenshots, or iffy quality crops of items/enemies, they are using custom artwork created by fans of their website. I think it's a really neat idea. Here is one of the images that they have put up.

Obviously a green Chuchu. I think it looks great!!!
I was curious to know if any of our artists here would have interest in creating some artwork for the website. We have a full list of enemies that have been confirmed thus far on our enemy guide.

If you are interested, just go right ahead! Pick an enemy, make a cool fancy drawing of it in whichever way you'd like, and post it up! I love this type of stuff and if you put some stuff together, I will feature it on Zelda Dungeon, as well as likely toss it in our upcoming image gallery, as well as on our enemy page for Spirit Tracks. Of course, all credit will be given.

Hmm. My general style might be suited to a Bulbo or a Wolfos... but then I think other people could do so much better.
I'll think about it.

I figured I'd start out with something simple, but I'll probably end up making more.

This idea originated from ZHQ. But how bout just this, grab some actual official artwork and just vector it?

Nice job Steve and Anubis. I like em. The octorok reminds me of the Beta OOT octorok in a way.

Lets keep these coming for anybody that's interested. I'm going to make a post on the site later tonight about this.

That's Gohma, btw. :P Not my best, but after watching a segment of a Spirit tracks video over and over again, I concluded that Gohma(s) has a pair of claws, which look like that.

I also did a Cyclops, which I accidentaly got some sharpie on my desk while coloring it in. :P

Oooooo I might vector a screenshot to use as a basis (once my mocks are over), since I doubt I'll get chance before hand xDD This is a really neat idea, though :3

I tried to make some artwork for the ST bulbo. I wasn't sure if the ST bulbo also has red eyes like the bulbo in TP. I still have to erase some pencil lines on the background, but I first want to know if you like it or not :)

Hmm...I think I might do something of the ChuChus and maybe a Keese too. Those are a couple of the enemies that I think I can pull off and make them look really good.
Yay! Finally I have something I can draw now. :) *goes off to start on pictures*
hmmmmm, I submitted my drawing via mail to the moderator. But it seems that they have been pretty busy lately... so I'll just go ahead and post it myself

Okay, I have finished the ChuChu pictures. I don't think that they're really all that good, but they're better than what we've got currently with the screenshots of the them from the game. Also on the Ice ChuChu, that surrounding it is supposed to be clouds, not a blanket or egg or whatever it looks like to you guys. I just couldn't get it to look right.

Electric ChuChu (http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/knowlee_raven/ElectricChuChu.jpg)
As for the Keese, I'm going to work on it, but I'm not going to guarantee that it's going to be done soon. I've got other things that I need to do. Sorry.

I took a stab at the bomb train. I was looking at a picture from thesacredrealm.net as a reference.

Yellow Spinut! I love it. Nice job Smitie!!! Knowlee, those ChuChu's look awesome as well. Even the Bomb Train looks great. All awesome pieces of fan artwork!
I will be adding these by the end of the week. I've been pushing this project behind the scenes, so I'm hoping to get more submissions in the coming weeks. The goal is to make weekly updates for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for the great images!

I drew a Rat. lol
I am not the best at drawing animals that are not cats. I do love drawing mice, so here is a rat for you. ^^ Also, I don't know why but, when I saved it it was really good. Now it comes out a little low-quality. :c

I love this project! Here is my help: Fraaz. I tried to make it looks like from Wind Waker artworks. Hope you enjoy it!
PS: Next week I will get a lot of free time (like a vacation). I think I will do more.

manoelpdb, that is one amazing piece of artwork of Fraaz! I will surely add that next update, (which will be very soon). I actually got another just as amazing piece of Fraaz artwork as well. I'm glad you like this project and I look forward to your future pieces.
Nice job everybody!!!

I think I messed up on Link's train, but oh well, there's the Moink for the project, well, one of them.
I think I might also make some more pictures. It just depends on if I get any free time.

No offense but I really do not think every submission should be used. Some are just straight up horrible. For a fan art section, that is fine. But to use on the guides themselves, ewww.

Nice job Pocket! (I merged your posts just to keep things organized). I'll add those to the gallery shortly.
In response to the post about their use on the site. All images will be posted in the artwork gallery. The goal is to get several pieces of artwork for each and every enemy in the game. We'll likely use just one piece of artwork per enemy for the enemy page. We'll likely use a couple of them in our walkthrough eventually as well. Some artists are not as talented as others, but I like to give everybody a chance to get their stuff posted.

I have a little question...
Can I sign my artwork with my logo/signature?

It took a while for my new pic to come(I was playing TP, lol...:))
It's a snowman! (I guess you guys already figured that out...:D)
The hands suck, they're hard to draw. The background isn't too good either, I focused more on the snowman.

Sure thing! That's not a problem at all. I'll have your name and if you'd like, your email and/or website included in the description as well. I have no issue with signing your name though. Some of our already posted images are signed.
zeldim, nice job. I actually got two Sir Frosty images for the next update. I do like your background though. I thought you did a good job with the tracks. Thanks!

Wow some of that artwork is so good :3 Again, this is a really sweet idea!
Now I'm in the christmas holidays, I'm going to take a shot at this! *runs off with tablet pen in hand*
Watch this space, I'm probably going to do a bunch of phantoms~
EDIT: First one's mostly coloured now (the torch phantom), should be done by tomorrow night... I can't wait to show you guys~
I'll probably do the rest of the phantoms too, I love working in MS Paint~
EDIT2: Just need to fix a few things on the sword and shield, and then change the colours via my laptop (main computer screen is pretty dull) and it'll be done~
EDIT3: Just started work on it again, and sketched out the Warp Phantom too~

I added the Mini Freezard as an attachement.
The ice turned out better than i thought, but the octoroks body was a little bleh to me. Let me know what you guys think!

Well, I understand this is a pretty old topic, but I decided to make more enemy artwork. I'll be posting more as I get them done. Right now I've drawn Byrne and I tried at Malladus (I couldn't find a decent reference picture).
