As the title says, Has Zelda been a burdan or a benefit? For example, by burden maybe you spent a lot of money on zelda syuff. A benefit could be like if you had an after shool activity and cam ehome tired you could wind down and relax. I go both ways. What about you?

It could go both ways with me too. It's been more of a benefit, because it gave me loads of stuff to do and games to collect and play. The slight burden it was, was that people would make fun of me for being a Zelda fan, but I don't care what they think.

It hasn't been a burden, but it hasn't quite been a benefit, although it has brought enjoyment in my life, considering I have no social life and do nothing but play video games.

The benefit is much greater than the cost. If the cost was more than the benefit, you wouldn't bother to buy the game.
Perhaps even more than just the games, my website has seen me take so much time away from my life. Heck, in August it will be 7 years, of which I'll still be 21 by then. 1/3 of my entire life have I been running this website, wow.
Surely it takes up hours and hours EVERY DAY of my life, but it is all worth it. If it wasn't worth it I wouldn't be doing it anymore. I love the Zelda franchise, my website, and the community. That is what keeps me going.

Its recreation. Its no more a burden then anything other activity one spends money on to pass the time. Nobody puts a gun to your head to purchase a Zelda game, so why view it as such?

zelda started my games hobby, so it is a benefit for me, although not every friend likes my zelda talk ;).

I've never thought of it as a burden. However, as I don't have a job at my age, it's a bit hard to keep up with all of the new things coming out. I've been quite tight with money for the past few years as I need to buy a lot of things for my last year of high school/college, I need to find a good car, etc - so when new systems come out, it's hard to keep up with all the madness - that's the only burden Zelda has brought me. Though, I don't think of that as a burden at all. I can always get back to the games later, and I'm in no rush to buy the games the night of their release or something. I see it as a hobby, nothing more.

No, Zelda has not been a burden in my life. In fact, I think it's helped greatly. It helps keep me calm and relaxed when I'm in a bad mood. It's something I can look forward to if I've had a bad day. I've only ever purchased two Zelda games the day they were released, so they don't really keep me strapped for cash. They also led me into the Zelda community, which has improved my intellect and my typing skills, which could help in applying for a job.
In short, Zelda is a great franchise that has improved upon my life, not slowed it down.

Zelda has been a benefit for me. Zelda games were the first video games I've ever played...without Zelda, I might be some Halo noob.
I think it has been a burden in some ways, mainly trying to figure stuff out without guides, which does cause some stress sometimes, but it is a huge benefit, when you have those problems, it does relive some stress, and it's very entertaining.

I can understand you there, but Zelda has never brought me all that much stress, because I can usually figure it out, and there really aren't hard enough boss battles to be stuck on for a while.

Since no one ever forced me to buy or play a zeldagame I have to say that zelda has been only beneficial to me. I am not rich but I do love buying the games and I adore playing them (even if it can sometimes be frustrating to get stuck) :)
I've only bought TP. My parents got me OoT and CE came with my GC, so I guess more of a benefit.
Plus, a lot of my friends like Zelda, so that's awesome.

It's more like a benefit, there can't be any true gamer out there who has never played any ,actual, Zelda game. That would be imposable. It's one game series every body likes. If you hate Zelda and still say your a gamer .. your just a poser then... it F#$%ing ROCKS!!!
