Hello all. I am still pretty new to this forum but enjoy it very much. Anyway, I was going through some old issues of Nintendo Power and came across something VERY cool and I had COMPLETELY forgotten about it. In Japan, Nintendo had a sattellaview system where you could download games off the internet. One amazing game was the original Legend of Zelda for the NES BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT..... it was with 16bit graphics!! Its true everyone, I have the issue to prove it with screen shots, and it looks amazing! The issue is number 94. I dont know if this has been covered before but does anyone else here know about this? I will post this under the World of Zelda plus the Classic Zelda sections of this forum. Does anyone know about this? Does anyone know how to get a hold of this game? The screen shots look so great, I would love to be able to play this game. Please let me know if anyone has more information about it, thanks!

It was called The Legend of Zelda BS and was just basically a third quest for LoZ on the BS addon for the SNES. And it was only played at a certain period of time in the 90s, but can be downloaded from a few certain websites, this being one of them.

Nintendo had also remade the first Zelda with voice acting, and it was avalable for download through the Snes Internet atachment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satellaview

Nintendo released two zelda games for download. One was A Spin off to Alttp, the other one was A TLoZ remake.
I did not know which one you were talking about.

Alright, they also made a sequel to LTTP?? Wow, that is amazing! Is it like in Legend of Zelda with the Second Quest? Basically the same game with stuff moved around? Or is it like anew SNES 16 bit game? PLEASE tell me where I can play these games? Are they just for EMULATOR download? Like just playing them on a computer? Is there any place else to try them? Please let me know, thanks!

Did you not read my reply? And no it wasnt a sequal to ALttP...the second one was called Ancient Stone Tablets and was merely a spinoff that used the same sprites and tilesheets from ALttP.

you can get an emulator download version of it, but it is a re-creation, and therefore not exact. that is because nintendo is the only place that you might possibly find an original copy.
ps. I do know of a site that you can find them on.

Yea it was never a actually disk or cartridge of any kind. You had to download it via a satellite durring the times it was available. If you need any information about this game go check out bszelda.zeldalegends.net its a whole site dedicated to it.
