Sheikh

I don't know how many of you guys knew about this, but I'm assuming not very many.

In Ocarina of Time, we come across a new race, the Sheikah, correct? They were the protectors of the Royal family and served them for many years.

Well, there's also the Sheikh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheikh), which was an actual living group of people.

"The title is sometimes more informally used to people who have a certain financial or political influence, but especially in relation to royalty and other nobility."

Anyone else think the Sheikah might have been based off of these guys?

More than likely, Nintendo tends to take real life events and places them in their games. For example, the rupee is in fact real currency.

I've thought the same thing about the Shiekah ever since I read about Shiekhs and stuff in my history book, you know the ones over in the middle-east.

Oh, and by the way, I own real Sri Lankan rupees. I have three coins worth 1, 2, and 5 rupees.

yeah nintendo took many things from real life and put it in the game.
pretty neat if you ask me.

Btw Dabombster, i will change the topic name for now, now we got 2 topics thats named "Sheikah", pretty confusing. if you can come up with a better name, just change it.
