What games have you been addicted to?

in order the games i've been addictted to are

pokemon
Tetris
Zelda oot
zelda MM
Final fantasy (cant remember which one but it was for snes)
Windwaker Guitar hero
and now im addicted to a game i just got for my DS Avatar :the last airbender

Hmm, I don't think "addicted" is the right word. But, certain games that keep my attention for a long time, and continue to keep my interest are: certain mario games, Pokemon, Zelda, Guitar Hero, Super Smash Brothers, Metroid, and anything else that has a lot of things to complete. I love games with experience systems too.

I guess you could call it slight OCD for certain games. I'm unhappy unless everything is perfected.

Half-life 1 and 2 - Of all the first person shooters out there, these have always been the best to me.

Usuallu when I get a game, I'm addicted to it for a while...then it dies down...and then I get back into it.
I usually can't put down most Zelda games and Final Fantasy games...

Agreed with Zepherlink, I get pretty addicted with Zelda and Final Fantasy games. I mean, who doesn't?
But with the more generalized gaming, I get addicted for a certain amount of time, usually until I beat it, or get everything out of the game. Then, I'll quit playing it and move on, sometimes going back to it if it was a good enough game.

Yeah mario just ain't been the same since he went 3d, the 3d ones bore me to death, cept galaxy that one is actually good but not the same, same thing with sonic, the genesis titles used to keep me addicted for hours now I can't play the new ones for more than 15 mins tops. I'm glad nintendo has managed to consistently do zelda right even in the new 3d era.

I have been addicted to more genres than specific games like i started on rpgs then action then rpgs and now arcade. It depends on how i feel as a gamer. Looking for a long game if i got time or a short simple round of asteroids.

really RPG games are really addicted games once you start.
but sometimes it can make you to addicted. so really huge RPG's can really be unhealthy for you.

i remember when i bought pokemon battle revolution.
i was so focused on gaining perfect stats, IV, moveset, rare items, just to work on a good decent team that i could beat people online.

I get easily addicted to games with simple yet fun gameplay and long storylines. Like most of you have been saying, Zelda, Final Fantasy, etcetera. Most recently, I've been constantly playing Crisis Core FF7 for PSP, and if you don't have it, I'd highly recommend it.
It plays differently from other Final Fantasy games with a single-person real-time combat system. It kind of plays like Knights of the Old Republic only not turn-based. Then the storyline is great too.
It's kind of confusing half remembering the less than half of Final Fantasy 7 I played and seeing so many similarities and saying "Didn't this happen differently?" or "Is that the origin of that then?" I've put in about fifteen hours off and on whenever I can between all the housework I've been doing in the past little while. Terribly good game.
Now next month the FF4 remake comes out for DS and I'll be on that for a while. I'm hopeless.

If addicted means playing games 24/7 and losing your job and social life for it, I say I'm not addicted.
If addicted means spending a lot of money on games because you have a 'need' to buy them, I am 100% addicted.

...Ergh! How the hell are so many people addicted to Zelda games. I just play them, beat them then like never play them again. Why? Because there is hardly a damn thing to do after you clock them so there isn't much to be addicted to.

I guess I've had plenty of past addictions like Maple Story or whatever but the one I'm currently loving is Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops +, god that game rules. Getting a bunch of guys in 1 player then taking them online to battle other people. The only games worth considering being addicted to are ones that have online.
