Tetra is... Zelda?

How many of you were suprised when in Zelda Wind Waker, Tetra turns into Zelda? I was.

Well I sorta saw it coming because I was looking around in Tetra's room in the ship, and I saw all those pictures and stuff.

Actually you do go to Hyrule in TWW. When you get the Master Sword and when you go to Ganon's Tower...but I do see your point.

honestly i was quite suprised. could not believe that annoying tetra was actualy zelda.

i was pretty suprised but what was with tetra like "transforming once she got the triforce. All zeldas must hace the pink dress and light skin? Couldn't tetra look the same and still know she is zelda.

I wasn't surpirsed at all when she turned into Zelda. Reason? Because my friend spoiled that in the very beginning of the game... darn it.

Me being the webmaster of a Legend of Zelda website, Tetra being Zelda was something that was spoiled even before the game was released, just based on official artwork that was released from the game. Since many had known details about the game before it was even released, so of course, I had to find what should and shouldn't be reported and one of the things that I did find, was that Tetra was in fact Zelda.

Hm, I think I knew about this before completing the game. I ended up purchasing this game kinda late, so I think it was well-known about the fact of Tetra being Zelda.

The end of Phantom Hourglass did, however, surprise me.

Well I usually don't look at spoilers on Zelda games before their release, so I didn't know that Tetra was Zelda in Windwaker. I did, however, suspect something, but I didn't entirely think that she was Zelda. It truly surprised me when it turned out she was.

Honestly wasn't surprised. I figured it would happen, like one of the posts above said, I looked in the pictures of her room and everything. And her power with that rock piece. I knew early on, or had a pretty good guess, that she would end up being Zelda. (or Zelda's descendant, however u wanna say it)

It's been years since I remember that happening, but if I remember correctly, it sure did surprised me, and even surprises me today. I don't get it though. The pirate wasn't the princess, was she? Wasn't it the princess, Zelda, in disquise as a pirate?

That's pretty much it. She made it very clear she had some connection to Zelda once you could get inside her cabin and look around, I wasn't all that surprised with that.

Me, I was kind of oblivious to all of the clues that she was zelda, so it was quite a surprise to me. And I agree with EponaOwns, Tetra was better as a pirate.

EDIT: Hey, this is off topic, but I just found out that a Tetra is actually a kind of small South American freshwater fish! lol.

Actually, according to the backstory of AoL, her being royal family DOES make her Princess Zelda. I don't know if that portion of the story is still canon, but it states that all female members of the Hyrule royal family were named Zelda. So Princess Zelda isn't so much a name as it is a title.

Well have you heard the actual legend of zelda? "A long time ago,the king of hyrules son learned about the triforce and desired it greatly, an evil wizard informed the prince that his younger sister zelda, knew of its whereabouts, when hey confronted zelda, but when the princess refused to talk, the wizard forced her into a deep sleep, over comed woth power the wizard died in the process, leaving the prince guilt stricken for betraying his own blood. and had his sister moved to the north castle altar, and declared that every daughter born into the royal family would be named zelda." this is from the Aol instruction booklet.

Huh yes...I read that story before 90% of the people here were even born. But you didn't get my point that Hyrule did not technically exist in TWW. She took the title of Zelda from a kingdom that ceases to exist.
