mine would probably be the grappling hook in ph. its alot more innovative than in ww. i thought it was awesome how you can shoot an arrow and it bounces off and you can fling yourself.

The Boomerang from A Link to the Past and the Gust Jar from the Minish Cap.

A Link to the Past was always my favorite game and I used the boomerang almost all the time as my equipped item. The Gust Jar in the Minish Cap was a cool addition to Link inventory and lead to some interesting puzzles.

What would be cool if Nintendo made a massive Zelda game that included nearly all the Items in the franchise. It seems with every new Zelda game, an important item or to is just always left out for one reason or another.

Wow. I really don't know if I could number my favorite items, let alone name them. I liked so many. Like Mases said, I always liked the boomerang as my secondary "always-equipped" item. I loved the hookshot in LttP, it was just so unique from any other idea I've ever seen. Phantom Hourglass's boomerang is also astonishing.

I really liked the Mirror Shield from OoT, and the Master Sword from the Wind Waker (how it gradually got stronger).

This man has a point.

Anyway, I've progressed further in both Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess (TP after a 9month hiautus while I was at ArbitorsGrounds).

I just got two items which I think both are great. The Bombchus from Phantom Hourglass. It has been reinvented from the old N64 days because of the preciseness of the aiming. This whole, drawing the lines for the boomerang and bombchus has me hooked, I love it.

Then it Twilight Priness, The spinner. Just awesome since its like a surfboard. I love the way Link is just like standing on it, looking around. Haha. It's good and I hope it is used often in the rest of the game. Hopefully it becomes a stable for future games.

It would be awesome if the next console Zelda game had like, 50 items. Basically all the major items from all the games. Now that would be sweet to just mess around with.

teh double clawshot or the ball and chain, the clawshot can get me more arrow quivers in the star game and the ball/chain cause you can break ice and do major damage to monsters

Small Shield (TMC) I know--you're all thinking WHAT? But the small shield actually protects you from those guys with the giant mace and chain--and the mace head actually BOUNCES OFF. Can't get much better than that.
Great Spin Attack (TMC) Probably the coolest attack in a Zelda game
Level 2 Bomb (FSA) Best thing in Four Swords Adventures, hands down. Those things make powder kegs look like deku nuts!

Just the Bow and Arrows. I swear, I love them. My favorite item of all. Long-range shots, genius! Especially in Twilight Princess where you could combine them with the Hawk's Eye and and the Bombs.

I never really used the hawkeye, but the bow is one of my favorites, as I said. It's just a classic weapon, and there's a certain enjoyment out of sticking an enemy with an arrow. :D

you know that swords and shields are equipment and not items. only in TMC sword and shield is equiped as a item but anyway here is my list:

In the Oracle series and Link's Awakening, Link equips his sword and shield as well as either the A or B button. (If I remember correctly) Thought I'd point that out.

The Ball & Chain from TP is also sweet. Although I just got it recently so I can't give my full opinion on it. Although it's rather awkward when Link has it equipped and then just 'puts it away' and it just disappears, lol.

Does anyone remember the Bomb-Arrows from LA? If you equip the bombs on one button, and the arrows on another, then press both at the same time, you launch an exploding arrow.

Oh, I remember those. They never even tell you about them in the game, so I consider them to be a secret item.

Yeah, you do equip the sword and shield to either A or B in the Oracle Series. I thought that was pretty funny :P

I don't quite understand that. Well, the sword and shield were a part of Link's equipment in the Oracle Series. You could assign them to a button. You couldn't have the sword and shield all of the time.

I wonder why they changed the shield so you have to push a button to use it. I don't use the shield very often in the Game Boy Zeldas because there's usually some other item I'd rather have on that button. Not like in Zelda 1 and LTTP when it was always there.

No, it's not a glitch, it's a secret that they never actually teach you how to do in the game.

Ok, let me speak...slowly...lol...They were used as 'quest' items, not useable items. Meaning they were only part of Links quest inventory, not his equipment list. You know, like when Link holds letters or something of that status that he can't use as a weapon? But more along the lines of using it for a quest that needs to be completed.

And yes, the Oracles and LA, Link could assign his sword and shield to the action buttons.
