Which is better? In my opinion, Opera owns all broswers. Fast, easy and has a great look.

You guys?

Opera has better tools, is faster, and generally all around better. As a developer, there is one things it is missing that I always need, which causes me to use Firefox - the view selection source right click tool. That is a must have.

Chrome is pretty cool, I like their incognito feature, that 'comes in hand', lol.

After all of the problems I've had with Internet Explorer, I'd have to say Firefox 3. Although, I do really like Opera, seeing as it's fast, easy to use, and has several tools.
Google Chrome is also O.K., but I prefer Firefox.

Firefox is my favorite. After reading the comments ^ I might have to actually look into Opera. But I'm a Firefox girl. It's not perfect, but I love the addons for it and such. I can't stand IE anymore.

I have never used any other than Internet explorer. That is the only one my parents ever get. It isn't bad. It can be slow at times, but overrall, it is pretty good.

FireFox pwns all!

I have tried Google Chrome. It's nice, yet lacks any extentions (java, flash, etc.).

Internet Explorer, by far, is the worst pick for a web browser if you are concerned for safe browsing. There have been issues, even in the past 5 months where Internet Explorer was having issues with security. It is perhaps the most popular of web browsers, since many people do not even know there are browsers other than Internet Explorer, since it is Microsoft's default browser. This is my least favorite browser.

Opera is without a doubt, the fastest of the listed browsers. Opera is increasing in popularity, due to the rather useful tools equipped with the web browser. It is much superior compared to Internet Explorer.

FireFox is the browser I am currently using. FireFox is the browser that is probably the second most popular of the web browsers listed. There also have been issues with FireFox with security, and like Internet Explorer, can have frequent issues with crashing. It is much faster than Internet Explorer, and much safer.

If not FireFox, I use Safari. Safari on a Mac has incredible safety, and isn't plagued with often bugs and security issues like Internet Explorer on Windows. I am yet to find any real flaw within Safari, since it is rather stable for a web browser. It is often even disputed that FireFox is slower than Safari.

I use Internet Explorer, but I'd really like to start using Firefox, or maybe Opera. But unfortunately I don't really have a choice at the moment, but I might talk to my dad about getting Firefox.

Firefox is the browser I frequently use, and would prefer to use over the others. I'll use Explorer when I have to (like at school), but it's not as efficient.

So. I think I'm going to have to sum this thread up with even You Tube hates Internet Explorer. I was looking through the coding on the page of one of my videos, and about halfway down I saw this:

#watch-video-owner-header {
font-size: 13px;
position: relative; /* stupid IE6 */
font-weight: bold;

See. Stupid IE6.

Its all personal preference. I use Firefox, but I like Opera better ( makes sense doesn't it ). I'm not concerned with security because I don't visit many sites I don't know about and I'm not the average user. I only choose Firefox because I do alot of web development, and it has a right click > view selection source tool ( so I don't have to read through the entire source ).

Opera is faster and has some awesome features, please bring the view selection source to Opera!!

Yes it almost seems that the Mac browser (Safari) is as secure as the mac computer ^^

I dont even have that thing thats pops up saying (Pop up blocked) on Safari. And its soo easy to tab web pages with it ^^

You never click to book mark a page and think it worked and it didnt like some other browsers do. IE (idiot explorer) is soo hard for me to get to save my book marks ><

Idiot explorer is what people use when they want to go slow and run into idiot viruses =O

Fire fox is very good for PC ^^ But opera is really good to. I guess I wouldnt recommend Safari on PC because it is a little slower but on Mac its super fast.

But Safari is another good one you might want to try and it is very secure and super easy to use ^^

Preformancewise is the latest IE (8) and Fx very much alike, but Fx is loading hmtl, javascript and flash faster if you run tests about it. And Fx is, which I find is it's real triumph, soooo much more customizable. There's millions of add-ons to firefox, just to tweak the look or preformance so it matches your personal use of a browser, or just separate programs like download tools, media players or even study programs that corporates with the internet perfectly. And then there's small, intelligent designs like the source code, filling the navigation bar with either the URL or banner of the website, improved session surfing, waaaaay higher security...

Conclusion: Fx > IE. Anyday.

It still is not nearly as secure as Firefox or Safari. In fact. I dont think any web browser is a secure as safari. I might be wrong but it would make since because it is Apple.

I mean secure like virus and pop up secure. And yes it actually warns you when a website is suspected for scams ^^

Thats why even if firefox is faster. Safari is easyer and much more secure. Thats why it gets my vote ^^

I've had the issue before, but I don't know if it was here that I brought it up or not. It seems like I'm the only person ever who finds IE to be much faster than FF. I find FF just takes too long to load, and IE can do it right away.

It is true that Safari is quite a bit slower on PC then on a Mac. I use Safari on my Mac and it is the fastest web browser I have ever used. My computer also came with Opera and I have tried Firefox to but Safari leaves all of them. IE included in the dust when it comes to ease of use and speed.

What is great about Firefox is how you can customize it and add all sorts of things. I might download firefox again just to set up some custom themes ^^

Safari.
When I used a PC, Internet Explorer was slow.
But now I'm using a Mac, and Safari (I believe the Macs have it by default) now kicks Internet Explorer's butt.

Personally, I'm a Firefox guy. I really like the way it works. I've been using it for years, so switching to anything else would feel weird. Plus, I'm pretty loyal. Once I find something I like, I stick to it.... so..... Firefox has my vote.

I finally got my father to install Firefox on his Vista machine at work and he loves it! He says he has never used a faster web browser on Windows.

So it goes like this for me.

On a Windows computer Firefox > Safari > Opera > IE

On a Macintosh Safari > Firefox > Opera > IE

First off Firefox can do everything that Opera and Safari can, with add-ons. And it can do more than that as well. Much more. It is clearly superior in that respect.

Although they seemed to have messed up in version 3 and it is crashing and locking up a lot more than version 2 ever did. I hope they fix that soon. It can get annoying at times. If there is a vandal strike on Zelda Wiki, I'll typically hop over to Google Chrome to take care of it. It may be lacking on features next to Firefox, but at least it is fast and stable. Perfect for vandal hunting when time is critical. For normal internet stuff or wiki editing, I stay with Firefox.

I'm currently using Firefox, although I've tried Safari, IE and Chrome aswell. Always gone back to FF, just gotta love it.

And the huge amount of AddOns just makes FF even better.

I like Flock, it has everything I love from Firefox plus the drag media integrated. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/roczuz/smilies/Links/hap.gif

In any case, I have yet to try Opera,. Safari was a nice experience and before Firefox, I would stick with Netscape, except ver. 4 and less, those were way too bug and crashed way too often.

Firefox floats-a my boats-a.

I've only ever used it and IE and since it's better than Explorer... it's the best IMO. ;) Anyway, I only need a broswer to go on Internet and not freely download virusues. I dont need anything else. =P

Firefox is, by far, the best web browser in my opinion. It has a great many features and is safe. Safe enough for me. Internet Explorer, Opera, and all those other things can't touch Firefox when it comes to the terms of what the better browser is. Firefox has great add-ons, FireFTP, for example, and is safe and secure. :)

I remember when I first started using Firefox. It was absolutely great.

I use Firefox. It's a much nicer interface than Internet Explorer ever was or will ever be. I don't know much about this "Opera" browser, though I do believe I heard my brother (the one who isn't on the ZD Forums) mention it among other browsers a long while back. I think I also remember seeing some logo for it in something both game- and internet-oriented. Something makes me think it was the Wii's Internet Channel.

What do you mean Internet Explorer gives you viruses? It comes with windows does it not?

I'm starting to see that every web browser has it's problem. Internet Explorer is just horrible in every which way, Firefox is probably the best one I've tried, it's fast, most of the time, has a heck of a lot of add-ons, and good security, but it uses up far too much memory, at least on my computer. Google Chrome is probably second best, it doesn't use up as much memory as Firefox does, but I find the only really good thing about it is the front bookmark page, but I can easily do almost the same thing with Firefox, so I just stick with FF.
