What if, instead of the normal "Game over (sucks to be you)" screen, you could see a cut-scene about what happens to hyrle/ whatever land you happen to be in when you arn't there to save it. The castle in ruins, Kokri (Sp?) forest being burned, you get the idea?

An interesting idea, but sometimes I could see that being too drawn out. I mean, if someone is constantly dying on a certain part, they'd have to see that over and over again providing they don't skip through it.
However, I have seen games like that. The game "Second Sight" for the original Xbox actually showed you extra scenes when you lost.
I wouldn't mind. I mean if I die I do suck. That simple.

I stated in a previous thread how I would actually prefer this to be the case when getting a game over. Like in Zelda 2, though it is a small thing, we see "Return of Ganon" with a silhouette of Ganon on the screen. That shows what happened and is probably my favorite Game Over screen of all. Then we also have Majora's Mask, which dosen't show the same scene every time you get killed, but when you run out of time shows the moon crashing into Termina, which is kinda weird seeing Link flying through a fiery sky.
So I think they should, at least for the next title, include what happens to Hyrule or wherever the game takes place once you die. To fix the lengthy Game Over problem, all they would have to do is make a button to press that would dim the screen a bit, pause the Game Over scene, and then present the words Game Over on the screen, and give you the choice to continue, save, etc.

They could allow you to skip it like they did with some cut-scenes in TP

I think it would be great. As long as there is a skip so you wont have to watch it over again ^^
And maybe the cut scene could be different depending on how early in the game you are or where you are at.. your progress ^^

Thats the whole point of being able to skip it. If I couldnt skip it I wouldnt want it in there either.
Which reminds me... there is a game that has a long game over scene that you cant skip. I cant remember what it is though >>

As long as you can skip it, or it changes throughout the game, I wouldn't mind, and sadly, I never died on MM, so I never saw the Game Over screen. It is an awesome idea though.
