well, having beat twilight princess, and getting zelda 1, link to the past, and ocarina of time on my wii's virtual console, i started craving more zelda, i always regretted being unable to play all the handheld ones after playing pretty much all the others...
but since they're so rare these days, its hard to find them the way i want, new... or ATLEAST in the original cases and with the booklets.
i got minish cap, play it on my DS.. got it from gamestop, so it didnt come with anything, just a used cartridge with no case or booklet.
i've always wondered, why do so many games end up like that? what do people do, throw the cases and booklets away like they're nothing? they're to be treasured just like the games themselves!
guess i'll get on with my point, does anyone know if there is any place i can find link's awakening DX [gameboy color version, obviously], oracle of seasons, and oracle of ages as new? or atleast ones that come with the cases and booklets?
also, if ya have info on where to get minish cap with the case and booklet, i'll probably buy another minish cap just to have the case and booklet...
im completely obsessed with zelda, and if i had the body for it, you can bet i'd be dressed as link 24/7...
anyway, i hope this is the right spot to post this, and hopefully this thread is ok, im obviously new here, and i make mistakes at times, i cant seem to find my way around forums all that well... >.<

eBay is the best choice but then the prices tend to be jacked up a bit.

I'm not sure why you are so upset over the boxes and booklets thing. Link's Awakening is 14 years old and DX is 10. Most people aren't going to save those things because they are generally irrelevant.
Being disgusted that people aren't as anal as you are is kind of silly.

You might be able to find it on www.amazon.com. You said that you already tried www.ebay.com so I won't suggest that. I got the first LoZ at gamestop used. It didn't come with a case. Just try a search engine like www.google.com, www.altavista.com, or www.com. Try searching new handeld Zelda games or something. You might find something there.

If you go to www.amazon.com, find the specific game you are looking for - and they should list the games that are new, and used. Read the descriptions, and some people sell them complete in box.
If you go to www.ebay.com, search the game of your choice with CIB next to the name (For example: Link's Awakening DX CIB) and you will be shown all the games that have the boxes and manuals included. Some can be very cheap, for instance, be anywhere from $9-$15 USD, while others with factory seal can be much more expensive.
Be aware that if you intend to buy them via factory sealed games, you will be paying more on Amazon because the users pay more to sell their product there than eBay, and Amazon takes more money from it than eBay. Generally, I'd suggest you looking for Buy It Now on eBay, and you will eventually find some very good prices.
Best of luck to you.

so you CAN insult others on this forum? and here i thought i was gonna have to hold back all the time...
anyway, i like the cases and booklets, ok? gives me something to look at, and not to mention keep the games SAFE...
who throws the cases and booklets away, especially when the games are so small and easily lost...
i guess i dont have a choice other than to check ebay again... hope i can find these three games, cause its driving me nuts.

Flaming other users is against the rules, so do not get the wrong idea if people are giving you the wrong impression of how members are to act on this forum.
The booklets are an easy way to learn things, find things to add to the forums (for instance, spotting something unusual). My boyfriend (Alder Dragon) is similar to you, and at his house he's shown me his entire collection of only booklets and boxes - and there are people on eBay who sell them and are reliable.

i know flaming is against the rules, i was just commenting on how he insulted me... forums may confuse me, but im not bad enough to get lured into getting myself into trouble.
anyway, i got lucky on ebay... found oracle of ages for around $40, seasons for around $30, just a tear on the back of the box, but nothing to ruin it, theres one being sold by a different person and it looks like it was stepped on repeatedly...
and the same person selling seasons is also selling an absolutely perfect looking link's awakening DX with the box and manual for $60... i bought them all.
i love zelda, and im gonna make sure i get all of them, even if i gotta sacrifice most of my paycheck for them.

I didn't flame you. I was being accurate.
And most people throw away their boxes and manuals because afterwords they aren't of use. There is a reason why Nintendo markets cases, so you can hold you games in one spot. No one is going to carry around a bunch of boxes and manuals when there are more convenient methods of storage.
The only people who keep their boxes and manuals are people like us and a big reason for that is that we are anal about crap like that. The difference between you and me is that I don't expect most people to do the same.

the best source you could try is your friend's dad. My friend and his dad once gave me A link to the past original version for SNES and oracle of ages for gameboy color but i play it on the Gameboy SP. Even though the link to the past they gave me was the exact one like the snes is still kinda like the newer one. Also, you should try the flea market. They have the best stuff for best prices.

i dont exactly live in a good city, not alot of people i find anything in common with, dont know of alot of zelda fans around here, either... my only friends live in other states due to this.
anyway, i have a question about this game for GBA i saw in gamestop, i guess i didnt think much of it until just now, since i cant seem to find it mentioned anywhere...
it was legend of zelda four swords for GBA, but i cant find a four swords for GBA anywhere, only LoZ: a link to the past AND four swords... course, i cant be sure if that was it or not, since it didnt have a case [thats another reason i find cases useful and worth keeping]
so tell me, is the four swords GBA game the link to the past remake, they just didnt have the room on the cartridge to put the full name? i would guess thats it, but i just want to be sure, although i have link to the past on my virtual console, i might get that sometime too...

They should put the four swords adventures to the GBA. The other one sucks. You can only play it if you have 4 people with the game and I never came to play it!!! :(

Gamestop is where i built up my collection. Wii can play Gamecube, just buy a controller and memory card. I reccoment WW, or the collectors edition ( which has OOT,MM,LOZ, AOL) or just pick up a used GBA, they can play all gameboy games

Ebay would be better for some of the older games CIB, (Links Awakening) but Ive seen them go up to arround 50 bucks each O_o. or another thing you can do is just ask your friends/family or people you know if they have one. Sometimes theyl even give them for free :)

HAHAHA u are a true collector sir!!! i cant believe you paid that much for old games when there are ways to get them for free and all, im not trying to raz on you or anything i think its great that you would go to those lengths for zelda but sometimes you gotta draw a line you know?
anyway i was just thinking the same thing and found a used copy of OoA for $5. thats pretty sweet in my opinion, although there probably wont be a case or manual when i go to pick it up but unlike you those things dont bother me at all, i used to own OoA but forget what happened to it. I know that i used to own the case and manual and if i read it once thats good enough for me.
have you tried kijiji.com? it is a free advertisement site and the people there sell for great prices but finding games with the original boxes and manuals is way harder, though not impossible. keep on collecting man!

Finding games with booklets is very rare, at least those older games. If you have a store called "Disc Replay", they have everything from all ages. Better than Gamestop, best buy, it's like a touchable ebay without the bargaining.

Nah, I agree with you about the box thing... the boxes are often beautiful things. But I think they mostly get thrown away because people didn't think they would serve any proper purpose- they're just packaging in a way xDD And most people don't bother keeping the instruction manual because half the time they've not even needed them o_o
Fortunately, my parents has the sense to keep the boxes on a shelf, so I've never really had your problem... but as people said, Amazon and Ebay are your best online bets, unless you can randomly find one in a store... I once found the GBA versions of TLoZ and AoL with boxes and manuals in Wal-mart o.O so anywhere's possible xD

The A Link to the Past/Four Swords thingy is one cartridge with two separate games. I know this because I have it. So I'll confirm that when you play A Link to the Past, it's almost exactly like the original version, just with small modified things like Link's voice. The Four Swords part is unplayable unless you hook it up with a friend or something that also has the game, not to mention the link cable. So if you're looking to get this game, I recommend getting it for the A Link to the Past, since Four Swords is just a Capcom spin-off.

You don't need the case eccept if u collect them. Your best bet is ebay.
