For those of you who are Super Smash Bros Brawl fanatics, I have some good news and some bad news to report to you. The good news is there is even more Zelda being represented with the latest addition of Sheik as a special transformation to our mighty Princess Zelda. While Sheik has not made an appearance in any of the recently released Zelda titles, the character has been redesigned. Sheik was originally drawn up in concept art during the creation of Twilight Princess, and this is in fact the form that Sheik will take.
So what is the bad news? Well, the game has been pushed back. A notice boxed has been put up at the top of the page, now stating the game to have a release date of March 9th. Still not too bad if you ask me. It just means that the game will still be fresh when the summer hits. :)

She's actually definitively identified as a she.
Actually, she was in Melee anyway, IIRC, but somehow, this is just a little more... definitive.

I wrote 'he' in the update when I first made it, but quickly realized it and changed it :)
I can never think of Shiek as being Princess Zelda. SHE looks so manly. What's with the alter ego of sorts of Princess Zelda anyway. Sheik/Tetra??? Whatever she was in Twilight Princess at the end of the game (haven't beaten it) :(
Stick to one beutifull looking princess already :)

I wasn't commenting on any mistake you might have made. Just commenting on the confusion of the character's gender in general, and Nintendo's somewhat passive decision to give a little bit more of an answer.
I think they made her a bit androgynous in OOT so that it wouldn't be so obvious before the final reveal. But Smash Bros. has been gradually making her more and more feminine.
For example, this pic:

Generally speaking, men can't do that. If we tried, we'd fall over backwards. Women are more easily able to kick like that, because their center of gravity is in their hips, and not in their shoulders. I mean it is just a video game, and whether they've been paying attention to physics with that level of detail or not, I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure I'd fall over backwards.

Haha, I concur. I was wondering if anyone would comment on my "She looks awesome" comment and try to argue about it.
Supposedly, Sheik was male in the OoT comics back in the day, but has been since titled as a woman (except for Ruto's "mistake"?)

Not to mention men would never wear clothes that tight, haha.
