Some of the rocks won't be blown up by bombs (like what you did). Instead, just continue playing in the Fire Temple until you come across the Megaton Hammer, which will destroy the rock when you hit it. There are rocks like that at the entrance of the Great Fairy Fountain inside Death Mountain Crater if you want to see her.

You get the Megaton Hammer in the Fire Temple.

you can't go to the fire temple if you have entered the crater from death mountain. you have to go to the chamber of Darunia and move the large statue (i don't know for sure)

Actually you can later on, but yes you must first enter through Darunias Throne Room.

The Megaton Hammer is in a room where you have to press down on a switch, and you have to run up these winding stairs to reach the treasure chest. You can go to the Walkthrough page for the Fire Temple here at Zelda Dungeon:

Good luck completing the temple and defeating Volvagia, the boss.

Oh my goodness, a reference tomy crappy Ocarina of Time Walkthrough. That is the oldest piece of content remaining on the website. It was one of the first pieces I ever wrote back in 2001 just after I started the website.

To my credit, I was just a little boy back then. I saw all the big sites had it, so I felt I had to write one as well. Never finished it, but I got most the dungeons and all of the young link section.

Luckily, Caleb is taking the honor of re-writing it, and I have to say, his version is simply incredible. The way he incorporates artwork, screenshots, and maps. Think of it as, just like the Phantom Hourglass Walkthrough, but very map-tastic and the screenshots jump out at you. :) First few sections should be released in the next few weeks.

There's that monkey looking statue that was behind Darunia in his Throne Room. After you get your Goron Tunic from Darunia's son, go to the place where you first met Darunia and you'll see that monkey statue that you have to pull to enter Death Mountain Crater.
