So, we've all played TP and PH, what's next? It's not going to happen for a few years, definitely, but what will happen when they come out with another Zelda game? I'm personally imagining a new title for Wii.
They just did a DS one, so I think they're going to do something different with the next one. Zelda's always been good about keeping us on our toes and going in strange directions that noone expects. Then we readily follow, and end up in a crazy turn-around maze made out of a forest that we don't find our way out of for a while, but we have a good several laughs along the way, and then we fall in a hole, are sent back to the beginning, swear a lot, and do it all again.
Anyways, I'm expecting lots of action from the wiimote and perhaps the return of some of our old items that everyone loved. Also known as the hammer, power gloves/bracelets/gauntlets, and maybe even something we haven't seen in a while like the Canes of Byrna and Somaria. Those were fun sometimes.
What I'd like to see is the return of the ladder. That was an item we haven't seen since game 1, and I can just imagine zillions of puzzles that it could be used for in 3-d. It could be used to get stuff from high places, you could cross water again, or perhaps you could use it for something really unexpected (as I said was to be expected from Zelda), and use it as some sort of a weapon. I'm sure they could figure out how to do it.
So, what are your hopes and/or expectations from the next Zelda game?

Well, I'm sure they'll want to do something out of the ordinary. They already have got people more involved with the game by using the stylus with Phantom Hourglass, then being more physically interactive with Twilight Princess on the Wii, and now they are going to have to do something to be better than that. I am sure there will be puzzles, and but what makes me wonder is since there are more interactive ways, would they go further with being physically interactive? Perhaps virtual reality in Hyrule? Or maybe they'd go along with something quite common lately - and make an MMORPG.

I could think of numerous things that they may decide to do, but I do believe it is more fun to just wait for them to announce their next creation. I'm fine with whatever they put out, as long as Link DOES NOT have gold teeth and hand grenades. They already advanced to a crossbow and cannon, I just really wish that they don't go any further than that. Guns in Zelda? I couldn't stand it.

All I know is that they are able to produce amazing games, I just hope the modern games out there don't influence them to create something that is NOTHING like the Zelda we know.

But that's just my opinion, after all. We'll have to wait and see for ourselves.
