Banner Contest

The banner at the top of the screen is just something I put togethor as we prepared to launch the forum, but it is just a filler untill we find something better.

This is where you guys come in. If you are good with graphics and want to contribute to the site, then go ahead and make a banner and post it up. After getting all the banners in, I will see which one I think is best and will use it as our default banner.

Only restrictions is it cannot be too tall. Anything more than 150pixals in height is stretching the limits. Width it can be as long as necessary just about. It can cover the entire screen.

Keep in mind we want a banner that fits will with this template, which basically limits the colors a tad. More of a light brown, gold, yellowish color as you see here would be best.

A contest right up my alley, if I do say so myself. I decided to make two of them, as I wasnt sure exactly how wide you'd really prefer. One is for an 800x600 res, the other for 1024x768, more or less. Seeing as this is layout isnt fixed, the smaller one may be preferable so that it'll work for anyone with any resolution but I'll let you decide that.

Oh, and these would look best if they were centered as opposed to being aligned to the left or right. ;)

Sorry if this streches the page but I have a logo that I thought would enter.

It's the width of the forum not the whitish section but the tan bar like where it says Welcome back, [insert name] it's that width so it would go with it well. It is also like exactly the same tan color. The link in the middle of the banner is not my artwork so I put credit in small text next to it. If you want I can remove it but It's awesome artwork.

Depending on your screen size, and how you have your browser, it could be too long or just right. For me it's just right, but to many others it will stretch the page I'm sure.

Are you using 1200xwhatever? I'm using 1024x768.

Thanks for everybodys submissions. I have to say, I really liked Chance's, it fit well nand went with the feel. The other two were not too bad either, but didn't have enough spark for some reason. Nonetheless, Avenged sent in what you currently see as the banner. I'm just a sucker for that rare piece of official art from the dark world that I immediately fell in love with it.

Thus, it has been added. Hope you guys have just as much excitement that I do. :)
