Vote: Fan Stuff To Forums

So, when the thought of a Zelda Theories section came up, I suggested that we just move all fan stuff to the forums. Please make a vote and tell your thoughts on the idea.

Pros:
No longer wait for me to get your fan works on the site, they will show up when you post them.
People can comment on them (may be considered a con also, but you can request that the topic be closed from discussion if you would like)


Cons:
Will not be featured on the site. There will be a link to the forum.
You must sign up to make your submission.
You won't receive my lovely e-mails replying to your submissions.


It is still undecided on how it will work completely. We may be able to "freeze" the topics in place so new posts won't bring that certain submission to the top. That is, if it is wanted.

Another con would be if the forums were hacked again. The content would be forever lost, unless, of course, you back them up from time to time. Or you could have it on both the main site and the forum i.e. post on the forum then after an amount of time, move the content to the main site. That would of course have its own set of pros and cons, such as you'd still need someone to post them to the main site and all, but I think that it would add to the quality of the site. Just throwing out an idea.

Sounds like an interesting idea to me. The cons don't really sound too bad, compared to the pros, but I'd hate to see the forums hacked again. Are you saying it could be hacked through the content we put on the forums?

No I'm saying if all the fan content is on the forums, then if the forums are hacked then the fan content would be gone, unless backed up.
