Photoshop Contest: Zelda Superhero Team-Up
Posted on May 01 2015 by Rod Lloyd
Good afternoon, ZI friends! I hope you’ll step away from your very important Friday affairs to indulge in yet another Zelda Informer Photoshop Contest. With movie-goers around the world flying into theaters to see Avengers: Age of Ultron, we figured it’s as good a time as any to assemble our very own Zelda superhero teams. Before we jump straight into crime-fighting though, we’ll take a look at last week’s contest: Serious Business.
Last Week’s Contest
After a week of what one commenter called “fan theory existentialism,” I steered fans away from the silly antics of recent contests and assigned them the task of creating serious, business-like images of Link and the gang. While the premise sounds a bit dry and boring, the results were anything but. There were some hilarious pictures of our favorite Zelda characters in office settings, no doubt conducting important international stock meetings or something.

Challenge Mode
With no challengers in sight, Hylian Ticipated again wins the Photoshop contest’s Challenge Mode. The artist presented to us an artfully monochrome comic strip, detailing the stock woes of Nintendo and the cut-throat tactics of the Business Scrub. The entry was so long, that I couldn’t even include the whole thing in this post. I recommend you visit last week’s contest page to see how the entire epic unfolds. This marks H.T.’s third Challenge Mode win in a row; will another challenger approach this week to end the streak?
This Week’s Contest: Zelda Superhero Team-Up
Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the bombastic superhero sequel to 2012’s The Avengers, makes its debut this weekend. In true Avengers fashion, the film brings together a collection of big name heroes as they save the world from a crazy robot baddie. While this is a momentous occasion, Captain America and Iron Man aren’t the only heroes who have saved the day before; Link and his pals have certainly teamed up to dish out justice and fight against the forces of evil as well.
This week, the contest is to assemble the ultimate Zelda superhero team. You can show iconic Zelda characters saving the innocent, performing amazing feats of strengths, or stopping evil schemes in a spectacular way. Whatever sets your Zelda team above the Avengers will be permitted this week. You’re free to use the images in our gallery below to get started, and use anything else on the internet from there.
General Rules:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
- Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Deadline: Submit entries no later than next Wednesday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on May 6. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.
Challenge Mode
For those that who want to test their skills with something more challenging, we have a Challenge Rule for you to follow:
1. Your entry must feature Link in at least 4 different Avenger costumes.
If you think you’re up to the challenge, include the phrase Challenge Accepted with your submission. Remember, Challenge Mode submissions follow the same rules and guidelines of the base Photoshop Contest in addition to the Challenge Rules.
Good luck!
