Caption Contest 076: Neck Breaker!
Posted on July 26 2016 by Rod Lloyd
Salutations, Zelda Informer fans! Let’s get the week started on the right foot with entry in our weekly Caption Contest. If you joined us for last week’s exciting contest, you may remember that we offered up an image of Toon Link and his newly-acquired Tingle statue. Now, something about Toon Link makes him perfect captioning. I’ve somehow collected several Toon Link photos for use in later contests, but I figured I’d give the poor boy a rest by offering up something a little different this week. Don’t worry, you’ll see a lot of Toon Link in the weeks to come.
Last Week’s Contest:
Tingle’s narcissism knows no bounds.

And here are our non-photo caption winners:
- Ian: “It was totally worth tracking down King Midas!”
- Zelda_N64: “DA DA DA DAAAAAA You got the golden Tingle!!
…we don’t really know what it does…” - Art1st4786: “I broke him out of prison and sailed all around the world for him, and all I get is this stupid trophy!”
- EsteemedAssociate: “Tingle, lay of the Nutella muffins, I feel like I’m lifting solid gold.”
- Will Underwood: “In the wise words of Wario… IM-A RIIIIIIIICH! WAHAHAHAHA!”
This Week’s Contest:
I can’t tell whether or not Link wanted to get brained with Shulk’s sword.
Use the image above and leave your caption in the comments section below. If you accidentally post as a guest, simply log in and reply to your comment with your username. If you post your caption as an image, and it doesn’t load, wait 5-10 minutes and check back. It usually just takes a few minutes to load properly.
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- Keep the image as close as possible to its original form (minimal photo editing). This is the Caption Contest, our Photoshop Contest is held on Fridays.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
