Executive Director of Video Games at Circana, Mat Piscatella, released September analytics for its September 1st through October 5th reporting period for video game sales. The media and market research company revealed The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom as the fourth best-selling premium game in the United States. Echoes of Wisdom was championed only by Madden NFL 25 in third, Astro Bot in second, and EA Sports FC 25 in first.

The list includes digital and physical sales for most of its games, though the fine print states digital sales are released at the discretion of the publisher. Piscatella noted Echoes of Wisdom is ranked fourth based on physical sales only. It’s possible it could have ranked higher if digital copies were included.

Echoes of Wisdom did manage to rank first for September’s reporting on the top 10 best-selling premium games on Nintendo platforms, usurping Mario Kart 8 and Hogwarts Legacy. Even in this ranking, digital sales were excluded.

This accolade is simply another in the game’s early sales successes, including being in the top 10 in the UK and selling well over 200,000 copies in Japan.
