- In 1998, Nintendo released Ocarina of Time, which was the first time the Zelda world had been seen in 3D. That game was filled with an epic feel partly because it couldnt help but do so due to it being its first strides in a 3-dimensional world. All in all, it was an awesome game that lacked any real depth but was still very fun to play. - Majoras Mask was released in 2000, and sought to correct these issues with better graphics, a more in depth storyline as well as involving characters. Nintendo took full use of the Ocarina of Time and its mystical powers in this game and focused far more on the individual races of Hyrule/Termina. - Suffice to say, Majoras Mask has all of that, but lacks the epicness its predecessor had. The game is simply too short, and in some cases, very frustrating due to the heavy reliance on time and quests restarting. - But when all is said and done, this game stands tall as an excellent and unique game that is slightly on the creepy side. If youre up for an exciting adventure in the world of Zelda, youll find it.
