 | The game starts on one of the screens in the overworld. Each time that you start a game, you will start the game from this location. Head into the cave that is on the screen. |
 | The man here will say it is dangerous to go alone and you will get the Wooden Sword. Exit the cave. |
 | Head right a screen and kill the four red Octoroks and then continue to head right. Kill all the Tektites on this screen picking up whatever rupees you can get and head right a screen. Continue to kill all the enemies because you need to save up rupees and head right. Continue to head right until you cannot go right anymore. Head up a screen, kill the enemies and head into the cave. Bombs are for sale at the price of 20 rupees. If you do not have that many rupees yet, walk around the overworld killing enemies and gather 20 rupees and then buy the bombs. Exit the cave and head back down a screen. |
 | You are going to need to collect 60 rupees in order to purchase the Blue Candle, so kill all enemies in your path as you head left back towards where you start the game. From where you start the game head left a screen and then up a screen. There is cave here. Once you have gathered 60 rupees go into the cave and buy the Blue Candle. If you have not collected 60 rupees walk around, killing enemies until you get 60 rupees and then buy the Blue Candle. Afterwords leave the cave. |
 | From the cave head down and right a screen to get back at the entrance. Head right four screens until you come to a screen that has a coast at the bottom-right. Kill all the enemies accept the zola and then bomb the wall and a cave will appear. You can see where you need to place a bomb by the picture. Head into the cave and it will give you a choice of which you would like to take. Take the heart container on the right and then exit the cave. |
 | Once outside the cave head up a screen. Head up a screen. Stay on the right side of the next couple screens and continue to head up until you cannot head up anymore. After passing through the desert areas head right a screen. After killing all the enemies you can place a bomb on the center rock island at the bottom-right. You can see where the bomb needs to be placed by looking at the picture. Go inside and grab the Heart Container on the right and then exit the cave. |
 | Back outside head left four screens, down two screens, and left a screen. Use your candle to burn the tree that is fourth from the right to reveal a staircase. Head down the stairs and grab the heart container on the right. Exit the cave. |
 | From the cave head right a screen, up two screens, left a screen, up a screen, and right three screens. Head up the long stairs here. There is a zol in the water and a Blue Lynel walking around as well. Be careful of the Lynel as they are very damaging. Make your way into the cave at the top-left corner. Now that you have 6 heart containers, the old man here will give you the White Sword. It is twice as powerful as the Wooden Sword. Exit the cave. |
 | Head back down the stairs and then head back left three screens. Now head down a screen, right a screen, down two screens, left two screens, and finally, down a screen. Kill all the enemies here first and then pull out the Blue Candle. Use it on the lonely bush at the bottom-left to reveal a staircase. Go down the stairs and walk over the rupee to get some rupees. Exit the cave. |
 | Head up a screen here and burn down the bush at top top-left corner to reveal a staircase. The magic shield is on sale for 90 rupees here. If you do not have 90 rupees just yet, walk around the overworld killing enemies until you do so and then go down the stairs and get the magic shield. Exit the cave. |
 | Head down a screen, left a screen, down another screen, right a screen, down another screen, and right a screen to get back to the starting screen. Head right four screens to get to where you got the first heart container. Make your way up all the way and then head right a screen where the second heart container was located. Head right another screen and kill the enemies. Don't worry about the staircase here but head up along the pathway next to it. Head right a screen here and then take this staircase up a screen. It will lead to a cave. Go into the cave and grab the letter. The old man tells you to show it to the old women. Exit the cave. |
 | One more item before we are ready for the 1st dungeon. The blue ring is the one item and it is pretty costly. It costs 250 rupees, so you will need some serious saving up to do by walking around the land and killing enemies. From the cave head down a screen, left a screen, down a screen, left five screens, down four screens, left four screens, and then head up three screens. You will see six armos statues here. Walk into the middle-top one to wake up the armos and reveal a staircase. Heading up the staircase will reveal a cave which holds the Blue Ring. You will need 250 rupees to buy it. Walk around the land, killing enemies until you have the rupees and then head into the cave and buy it. Afterwords exit the cave. |
 | You are now ready to enter the 1st dungeon. Head down three screens, right four screens, and up three screens. You will see a bridge over the water. Take the bridge left and you will see the entrance to the first dungeon. Head inside. |
