Arrows |
These babies are a classic item from the Zelda series.
Shooting enemies from a distance is a great way to avoid unnecessary
damage as well as deal a crucial blow to those weak against this form of
attack. Watch your Rupees though, each Arrow you use costs one!
They can be bought at several shops throughout Hyrule but you'll need the Bow before you can use
them. |

Arrows, Silver |
This is the only weapon that can defeat Ganon, the final
boss of the game. It's pretty imperative to your quest as a result. =P
This upgrade is found in the last dungeon (Level
9) in both Quest. |

Bait |
These pieces of meat can be used to lure Dodongos
wherever you like as well as feed the hungry people in the later
dungeons. You'll need it to proceed through the game, so purchase it as
soon as you have enough (you'll need it multiple times).
It can be purchased at several shops across Hyrule. |

Bombs |
Another classic item from the Zelda series. Lay one down
and it will promptly explode, damaging nearby enemies. Some walls in
dungeons as well as in the overworld can be bombed to reveal hidden
areas and shortcuts.
Many enemies occasionally drop them when defeated, and they can also be
purchased at several shops across Hyrule. |

Boomerang |
Another instant classic for the Zelda series, the Boomerang
allows you to retrieve items from a distance as well as stun or even kill
weaker enemies. It's quite useful, especially when dealing with hordes of
Keese (bats).
This item is found in the first dungeon (Level
1) in both quests. |

Boomerang, Magic |
This upgraded Boomerang increases your range to the entire
screen. Not much else to say.
This item is found in the second dungeon (Level
2) in both quests. |

Bow |
This item allows you to use the Arrows once you purchase
them as well as the Silver Arrows later on. It's required to beat the game,
so make sure you get it.
This item is found in the first dungeon (Level
1) in both quests. |

Candle, Blue |
The Blue Candle allows you to create a pillar of fire in
front of you which can harm foes, burn down bushes and light dark rooms.
The Blue Candle can only be used once per screen, so you'll have to
leave and return to use it again.
It can be purchased at several
shops across Hyrule. |

Candle, Red |
The Red Candle is the upgrade of the Blue one and allows
you to create infinite pillars of fire on any screen.
In the First Quest, it's found within
Level 7.
In the Second Quest, it's found within Level ???????. |

Clock |
Grab these power-ups whenever possible. They halt all foes
in their tracks and render them harmless for one screen.
They are occasionally dropped by enemies. |

Compass |
There is one Compass per dungeon and they allow you to see
where the Pieces of Triforce are hidden.
Often times, you will have to kill all the enemies in a room before it will
appear. |

Fairy |
These mystical ladies will restore your life when found. Run
for them when you see them, because they don't fly around for long!
They are occasionally dropped by enemies, but you can also visit a Fairy
Fountain to heal that way. |

Key |
To get through the various locked doors in the dungeons, you
will need the to find Keys.
They are found inside dungeons, sometimes only after you've defeated all the
enemies in the room. They can also be purchased at various shops, but you
should find more than enough. |

Ladder |
With this item, you are able to step across patches of water
that block your path. Although its range is limited, this item is very
useful.
In the First Quest, it's found within
Level 4.
In the Second Quest, it's found within Level ???????. |

Letter |
There are several old women throughout Hyrule that will sell
you Potions once you give them this item.
It's found in the far northeast chunk of Hyrule, near the Money Making Game
in the green tree. Click

Magic Book |
This item merely upgrades your Magic Wand so that once its
beam hits a target, it will burst into a flame, similar to the Candles.
In the First Quest, it's found within
Level 8.
In the Second Quest, it's found within Level ???????. |

Magic Wand |
This item allows you to shoot beams anytime you want similar
to those the Wizzrobes use. It's about the strength of the White Sword, so
by the end of the game, it's really not the greatest.
In the First Quest, it's found within
Level 6.
In the Second Quest, it's found within Level ???????. |

Magical Key |
Once you find this, you can unlock any door. Boring, but
useful.
It's found within
Level 8 in
both quests. |

Magical Shield |
This upgrade of your first shield deflects projectiles
easier as well as some others that you previously couldn't defend against at
all. It's quite worth the buy, but make sure you get it at a good price.
It can be purchased at several
shops across Hyrule. |

Map |
This item shows you how many screens there are in the
dungeon. It can be very helpful for navigating. Unfortunately, it doesn't
tell you were doors or walls are.
There is one map to be found per dungeon, alike the Compass. |

| |
Power Bracelet |
This item allows you to move some stones in the Overworld,
some of which give you shortcuts (Warps)
across Hyrule. It's not required in any way, it simply allows you to get
some secrets.
In both quests, it's found under the top right Armos Statue in the northwest
portion of Hyrule, near the Graveyard.
From the Graveyard, go right 2, up 1, right 1.
Or, from Start, go right 1, up 5, left 1, down 1, left 1, up 1, left 1. |

Potion, Blue |
These puppies instantly restore your life. It can only be
used once, but if you buy another Blue one, the two will become a Red one.
They can be purchased at several
potion shops across Hyrule,
but only if you have the Letter. |

Potion, Red |
Alike the Blue Potions, this drink will heal you completely.
These ones have two "charges" so to speak, meaning after you use it once, it
becomes Blue.
They can be purchased at several
potion shops across Hyrule,
but only if you have the Letter. |

Raft |
There are some ports along the water in the Overworld. With
this, you can use them to reach hidden areas. You'll need it to reach
Level 4 as
well as get a
Heart
Container.
In the First Quest, it's found in Level 3.

Recovery Heart |
Pick these up to restore one piece of your life energy.
They can be found by defeating enemies or bought at various shops (rip off). |

Ring, Blue |
This wonderful item cuts incoming damage by 1/2 and tints
you blue.
In both quests, you can buy it at the
Special Shop for 250
Rupees. Don't be fooled by the steep price, it's one heck of a deal! |

Ring, Red |
Alike the Blue Ring, this one reduces damage to 1/4 that of
normal and tints you red.
In both quests, it's found in the final dungeon (Level
9). |

Rupee |
This is the currency of the Zelda series, gather all you
can. And also, Rupees are a real form of currency in India, Pakistan and
Ceylon. It means "wrought silver".
These puppies can be found all over the place, for defeating enemies, or
just a reward after clearing a room of foes. Also, a quick and easy way to
get money is to find the
Secret
Rupee Locations or play the
Money Making
Game. |

Sword, Wooden |
This is the first sword you get. It's pretty weak, but
reliable.
To get it, enter the cave at the Starting Area. |

Sword, White |
This blade does twice the damage of the Wooden Sword.
To get it, you'll need six Hearts. It's found in a cave near a waterfall in
the northern area of Hyrule. Click

Sword, Magical |
The finally sword does four times to damage of the Wooden
Sword.
To get it, you'll need fourteen Hearts and the Power Bracelet. It's found
under one of the graves in the top right of the Graveyard. Click

Whistle |
Play this instrument to summon a whirlwind to take you to
dungeons you have already beaten. Some enemies are vulnerable to it as well,
such as Pols Voice (rabbit looking bouncy enemies) and Digdogger.
